Jean-Rice born 1890 in Dominica, died 1979 in Devon, England aged 88. published Book of Short Stories in 1927 called The Left Bank. In the late 20s into the late 30s, she published four novels, Postures, which became quartet subsequently. She moved to Devon and vanished and her books all fell out of print. And we have a little clip here of Jean Ries being interviewed at the end of her life after she had finally achieved great success with Widesau-Gasau Sea. Can anyone imagine this getting through a marketing meeting today? Here we go.
