The Stifling of Free Speech

The stifling of free speech is an attempt to protect powerful interests. The emancipation of authorship threatens the legitimacy of politicians, bureaucrats and chroni capitalists. If we are too passive against attempts to stifle free speech, then this technological revolution will be one that differs from those of the past. Those in power will learn to use this new technological paradise to their advantage. Instead of liberating us, the technologies will be the tool that descends us into a technocratic, global totalitarianism.
