FIFA president Gianni and Fantino sat next to each other at the World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil. It's almost like everyone around the Katar World Cup is allowed to be political, though that doesn't kind of justify his own country having laws that criminalise homosexuality. I do think there is this global issue that is more unique to sport than it is to other industries. And you get moments like this where the global governing body, FIFA, do not allow an armband that's barely a rainbow to be shown on the pitch, and you're just like, well, where are we going? How do we get there? I don't really know anymore.
