The Death of a Suicide
Ryan was found guilty on six counts of first degree murder and sentenced to death by gas chamber. Prosecution sought the death penalty, but defence fought for second degree charges, pleading insanity. Ryan secretly stored his daily medication, these tranquilizers, until he had enough to take at once to overdose. On december 20, eighth 19 80, a chase died by suicide at the age of 30.
