The Problem With Referencing Words
There's no such thing as reference. Words are used to refer to things, but we philosophers have been misled in postulating reference relations between words and things that work. Once you get into that way of thinking, it needs to be interpreted through that lens now. So that's a worry and the first thing is a nice example from science and so on and so forth. Reference is a particularly good example of distinct philosophical notion. Yes, that's right. No, I'm chub-ski, has I good for a long time, there's no suchthing as reference.
