The Impossibility of World Literature

World literature says to me as something that is theorized to be impossibly masterful and yet when we go back to some of the accounting texts and literature, you can kind of think about what world literature is. And so, I think the world literature to read the books of the world is is an absurdly impossible project. It's not about imperial knowledge produced, but rather one that's simply about critique and critique that's collective in its own insufficiency.
