Introduction

This week, Peter Adamson looks at the atomic theory of leucippus and democritus. The atomist thought that all bodies are made of particles so tiny they are invisible to the naked eye. This is only one half of the atomis picture of the cosmos. It's the nothingness in which the atoms move around - vacuum or void.
