Pride is a fundamental attitude of self-sufficiency. Arrogance, on the other hand, is related to pride, but it comes secondarily. The arrogant person believes that they're to be given credit for all of their successes. In arrogance, in these other words I've listed, we elevate ourselves into God's place in the lives of others.
