There is some evidence that people avoid checking their stock portfolios when they know stock markets are falling. And they look more often when stock markets are rising. So there's a need to sort of scratch that anxiety itch. There's a, there's a sort of a need for good news rather than bad news. We're consuming this information for some other reason to satisfy an emotional need or an ability to talk plausibly at dinner parties.
