The Mask of Feminine Sexuality

Lacan suggests that in Lacan, homosexuality is something that is often worded off. So as Butler says on 62, men have a phallus, but women are a phallic persona. The donning of femininity as a mask may reveal a refusal of a female homosexuality and at the same time, an odd form of preserving and protecting that love within the circle of the melancholic and negative narcissism.
