The accused wife is required to agree to all this. Well, now the priest does some other incidental ritualistic stuff. But ultimately, the woman is forced to drink the bitter water that brings a curse. If she's not an adulteress, if she hasn't been, you know, sleeping around, nothing is going to happen to her.If she has been sleeping around, verse 27, she will feel quote bitter suffering. And the water will enter her and quote her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry and she will become a curse. Essentially, God will abort the fetus, which apparently is just fine for God to do because he's God.
