The Roman Empire, as we know, declined mostly around the turn of the fifth century. Are there any remnants from that Roman or pre-Roman era that visitors can see in Paris today? Yes, and what is interesting is that most of what we can see has only been visible quite recently,. Because Paris was so built over that many of these Roman remains were lost.
