The Importance of Symbolic Acts

In the in biblical narrative and gospel narratives, you see Jesus doing kind of bizarre things. When you do, be careful not to draw any kind of immediate conclusions or imagine that you know it's happening. Take for instance, like the temple clearing episode, or I don't even like to think about temple clearing or temple cleansing. But there's some kind of temple replacement dynamic going on in Mark that that's not present in all biblical authors.
