Biden himself is potentially quite vulnerable to an economic populist attack from Trump. The state of the economy, I think, is his biggest vulnerability at this point, regardless of who he winds up running against. It's possible that future interest rate rises could help bring inflation down and that maybe this will have settled by 2024 comes around. But it's also possible that the economy could be in a recession.
