The Last Place Heidi Parkanen and Urban Hoglin Were Never Together
The murders of Swedish tourists Heidi Parkanen and Urban Hoglin in 1989 have never been solved. Ryan Wolfe started his true crime investigative podcast Gilt 18 months ago with the hope that it might help solve some of New Zealand's unsolved cases. Hundreds of interviews and two full investigations later he is embarking on what is likely my most complex and tragic case yet. The last place Heidi and Urban were ever seen together was State Highway 26 from Thames to Prakawai, Wongamataa. This road if followed will eventually lead to the location of the grizzly discovery of Urban's body in 1991. There's a piece of bone right here.
