Random Assignment to Manipulate Poverty

The study used random assignment to actually manipulate poverty in a way, right? So like whatever characteristics these mothers might have that might be distinctive compared to folks that are more economically advantaged, those are shared characteristics between the two groups. Over the course of the study, children were assessed annually, or i guess, more properly, they are being assessed annually because data collection is still on going. The current study focuses on data that were collected during the one year visit.
