Jim Carrey's Diamond Dumbo was the first movie that The LEGO Movie team had ever made. "We thought he was funny in it, even though it's not necessarily a comedy," says co-star Rob Reiner. They didn't expect to be hired as directors because of their low budget and lack of experience. But they were able to execute the comedy exactly how they saw it.
