Developing a Mobile Board for Running

Roxanne Jones: I want to talk a little bit about the mobile board before we finish up today. This is a type of stability board that rocks back and forth, but there is a hole in the middle of it. It cues you to put load across the ball of foot and out the big toe like it's supposed to be because your big toe is anatomically and neurologically completely different from your four little toes. She says experimentation can really be helpful for figuring out what kind of shoe works for you.Jones: You don't have to wear it for the whole speed workout. Just give yourself a little bit of exposure to that new stress.
