What's the Most Important Thing?
The most important thing is that smart contracts, validators, payments remain open and free. I'm relatively willing to accept compromises if they preserve the things that I believe have the vast majority of the value for DeFi. My projection is a world in which it's like, dollar day here, smart contracts, payments totally free, but in which the centralized American hosted front end requires a burglar license or something like that. It's up to people in the industry to highlight whether ethical, moral, legal and social reasons why those controls should not be imposed.
