The Context of Preaching in New York City

John: The goal of preaching is to form people into the image of Jesus for the mission of God in a particular context. New York City has definitely shaped who I preached it, and that's when telling story was everything. He says he had to work so hard to get good at telling stories again because New York doesn't value them like they used to.
