Before 9 11 it just never occurred to anybody that our airline policies for decades because like in this 60s and 70s there was a rash of high airplane hijackings. Every time all of these times when airplanes were hijacked they just the policy was you just placate the hijackers land the plane keep everybody safe tell them you know we'll listen to your demands. That was the policy if somebody tries to hijack the airplane you say okay how about this we'll land the plane and blah blah blah you don't fight themYou don't do anything like that so it just never even occurred to anyone that all these all you'd have to do is go on an airplane with box cutters
