Nearly all pain relievers on the market use the phrase “for fast, temporary relief.” Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen – they’ll give a little relief, for a little while. But when it comes to forgiveness of our sin, we’re more interest in “immediate, everlasting relief” from our guilt and guile.
