Is There a Diversity Tension in Collaboration?

One of the reasons we don't do well in collaboration is that managers are not equipped to handle what can be called diversity tension. A lot of people don't know how to argue constructively ol there, they'll personalize the debate. The manager doesn't really have tools in his or her arsenal to make to handle the diversity of tension in a productive way. We need t take a step back and challenge assumptions, because probably missing something.
