Da Vinci writes that the ancients had an idea of man as microcosm. The cosmos in Greek is a word you've heard of the cosmos, but in Greek, this is a philosophical world to denote the totality of things. And so when the Stoics and the Epicureans talk about either the cosmos for the Stoics, this one universe or for the Epicurean, the cosmoi - multiple parallel universes.
