Think about a father trying to reach their child, they're completely disconnected now. There's no influence despite their efforts to push or to use all sorts of forms of human influence. The relationship is closed. And what I hypothesize is that in this case, the child feels completely misunderstood. It could be to avoid being misunderstood in a relationship. With as many ways to say the same type of thing, but the different types of jobs that would be studying in a different manner.
