CHAPTER

How to Extubate a Toddler

The last piece that I might consider when getting ready to extubate is this kid going to need a procedure in the immediate pariaxtubation phase, right? Because that's going to be like their highest risk timeframe. So our patient is a toddler. It seems like she was developmentally normal for her age prior to being intubated. She's been on these nurse additives for 12 days. We talked about like the five to six day mark as, you know, maybe considering that marker as a should we start some methadone or out of an or conidine. Our scenario doesn't really give specifics other than that.
