What Are the Effects of Placidos in Pain?

Pain bimarkers were developed so that we could study the placibo effect. When you get sham treatment, you release indogenous opioids in the brain which are natural pain killers. So there really is this indogenous response in a person's brain that can relieve pain when you just think that you have something that's going to really help you. You activate the pre frontal cortex, and you d activate some of the centres in the brain that seem important for creating the experience of pain as well.
