The left had a moment of huge possibility in the long 60s, and then it got stomped into the dust. I wonder if that's partly because of an ungrieved character. There is something about anti-utopianism that we need to keep pointing to in order to start to be able to fight it. In the 80s to go back to Michelle Barrett and Mary McIntosh and their tiny little talk. So everything has been lost, nobody is dreaming big anymore on the left.
