Secondary and Tertiary Syphilis
Primary lesions are often missed because they're in locations where patients might not see them. These patients will often have a painless lesion that they may not even recognize. Secondary syphilis is the hand foot and mouth disease of adults. Then there's tertiary syphilis, which is a much harder diagnosis.
