Israel keys grows up in a very religious household, right? Home schooled. They're going to this church that although it's religious, it's got some sounds like it had some pretty crazy ideas. Ultimately, he would reject religion altogether and end up identifying as an atheist. So we fast forward to July of 1998,. And this is when keys joins the army. He decides to join the army and he's inducted in New Jersey. He ends up training down at Fort Hood, Texas. Then he ends up stationed at Fort Lewis. Now while he's in the army, you know, he does a tour in Egypt. Yeah, that's pretty impressive. He got an honorable discharge
