How to Ship a Python Tool in an Hour and a Half

VS Code now has an extension template for tooling for Python tools specifically. We've really tried to lean in on this whole let's not be the arbiters of what is or is not useful for a linter or formatter. And we have audacious ideas of trying to make it easier for all these other tools that want to own your workflow to participate, right?
