The Biggest Mistakes the West Has Made
There is a degree of confidence that the Ukrainian military has the organisation and equipment to destroy Russian forces in Ukraine. The political changes in Serbia and Croatia allowed those responsible for carrying out war crimes during the Bosnian conflict to end up on trial in the Hague. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that Vladimir Putin could find himself sent off to the ICC to stand trial if the political landscape changes in a certain direction and he loses in Ukraine. There have also been divisions within the Western Alliance with some people wanting to do a deal with Putin, others wanting a more robust approach. But I'm confident that the Ukrainians can prevail.
