Ramonza: A Variation of Basil Nevinson
Variation 13, titled Ramonza. This is the only movement that does not have a dedicated T. Elgar writes just 3 asterisks at the top of the score. The music is slightly melancholic but quite gently as if it has a sad smile. But then we are taken to a new world. It's one of the only moments where the music in this piece is not directly based off of the enigma theme.
