The Role of Past Performance in Motivation

Everything based upon past performance is very motivating to workers. We can also work out that it's in some ways cheaper than offering really strong pay for performance. I don't know of research testing that directly, but I do know in other cultures, there's differences in it being more socially acceptable to talk about your compensation.
