You have three to four times more creatine in your muscles than you do ATP. In a relatively low methylation state or in the optimally-metalyted state, those are the two parts of the spectrum where focus is sufficient to get productive work done. It may be the case that at that point, you're just methylating too much of the dopamine supply. But it's not as if the tonic and phasic dopamine pools have this irreversible and impenetrable wall separating them.
