"I just hope I don't need stitches. So two rough looking men in a beat up old truck, let's not meet," he writes. "As soon as I heard it, a chill went down my spine as I remembered exactly that feeling of seeing my mom terrified, looking down into the swamp at something I couldn't see." The story was inspired by an incident on July 4th when his girlfriend and her family were watching fireworks from their campground along the Missouri River.
