Ali's patient had extension of his PE involving both main pulmonary arteries. He was tachycardic in a troponin elevation RV strain on TTE was human and amigly stable. Given extensive clot burn it was felt it was probably worth being aggressive to try to decrease her risk of decompensating in the short term. We don't have high quality data that being aggressive up front at this point improves long-term benefits, Ali says.
