The Problem With Value Alignment

The singularity simply means the point past which we can't actually form a reliable intuition about what will be happening. The intelligence explosion version of it suggests that there's a kind of runaway effect once this technology begins improving itself well then it's gotten out of our hands and then who knows what could happen but yeah I think there are interesting ways to think about it getting away from us or not necessarily dependent on anything exponential happening.
