The constitutional convention was a kind of runaway, renegade project taken up by a special, narrower group of politicians and statesmen. So 27 only signed the constitution. And if we look at those 27, it includes a number of very big names that you have heard of - but also obscure like jerrid ingersoll and gunning. But when historians use this sort of broader, more holistic definition of a founding father, it yields various different lists.
