Straw man is a great metaphor when you dig down into it. It's kind of a part too, to that episode we did years and years ago, back when bob dillan won the nobell prize for literature. Aristotle was already describing it, setting up an invisible opponent, or making up an argument so you can easily refute it. But it was martin luther who first put into print the idea of a man made of straw as an emblem of that practice.
