What I Learned From Willy Fowler at Cowtuck
The application of nuclear physics to astrophysics started with bata's paper about how the sun shines in the thirties. And fifties and maybe the 19 sixties were the heyday of nuclear astrophysics. Willy Fowler was at the forefront of that. He instilled in me and many of the people who worked there, really a pride and a sort of a family idea. We were willy's boys.
