Is There a Role of Imitation With Attribution?

Even as black people, we can see things in other cultures that we like and appreciate and want to imitate. And i think there is a way to do that respectfully,. But i'm trying to think of like, concrete examples for the people. So if you take food and you say, oh, this is popin, or this makes sense o or i'm seen like a recipe on tiktok, or a recipe on instogram reels, and so imi take that and i'm going to make it, if it's cross cultural. And do you want to take that and profit from it? I think one of the questions is, do you actually know its origin?
