What Is a Basic Belief?
A properly basic belief is a belief that is not based on other beliefs. So suppose i go to the casino and i just find myself believing my next role, or my next play, i'm going to become millionaire. That wouldn't be a rational belief, so t wuldn't be properly basic. But that's the basic over all picture. Why don't we talk about some other things? Tat i sot of properly basic. What is? What dos properly basic mean? Nd o, same examples of properly basic beliefs. Ok. We probably need to split that term into two. The proper, the proper part of it. Ye, i was unaware of that distinction.
