Destroyer 2 is one of the best techs in the game. You can send a single Destroyer 2 even at like a full on fleet. And it's probably going to nibble some. infantry two interacts very nicely with your flagship, especially if you're using your flagship to just defend your home system. The reason it can be useful is as a first action, sometimes Necro has to strike while the iron is hot and they need to do two actions back to back.
