Franco and Hitler's Allies in the Mediterranean
During the Spanish Civil War, Hitler had supported Franco militarily. There was an expectation that Spain might also enter the war on the side of the Germans. The key to the Mediterranean suggests Franco is not Gibraltar, but the sewers canal. He storms off in a hissy fit, railing against Franco as a jumped-up little mare.
