Narcissism: A Family Disease

A lot of traits that masquerades as narcissism are probably rooted in like codependents and people pleasing. It's a very narcissistic disease to be like, well, I'm going to rescue you and save you because you're not capable of doing yourself and I'm perfect. Para-alcoholics are reactors rather than actors. We became para-alcoholics and took on the characteristics of that disease even though we did not pick up the drink.
