After world war two we had enough technological power that catastrophic risk became a global possibility for the first time ever. That created the need to do something that humanity had never done, which was that the major super powers didn't war. And so we made an entire world system, a globalized world system, with the aim of preventing world orthree. But those set of solutions have ended and they have now created their own set of new problems. Now we're at a point where that radically positive sum economy required an exponential growth of the economy. We don't have two countries with one catastrophe weapon.
