In these reasoning tasks in the lap, people don't really understand what game they're supposed to play. To ask people to reason following patterns of indefeasibility and do monotonic reasoning is a cognitive oddity. But if put in the right context, if you explain to people, we look, this is the game we're playing here,. We want to rule out all possible possitary exceptions - that seems to be good news for us as humans.
