The Risks of Central Lines in Ruptured Aneurysms
The idea here is that you're stopping the heart temporarily so there's no cardiac output. They have a window of maybe 30 seconds to a minute. It's more likely to work through a central line than a peripheral line. Growing lines, as we all know, are much more subject to infection.
