Climate Change AI - How to Catalyze Impactful Work in Climate Change
I was surprised a few years ago to see that climate change wasn't being talked about as a flagship opportunity for machine learning. The Climate Change AI Initiative, which I lead together with Priya Bunthi and Lynn Koch, aims to catalyze impactful work at the intersection of climate change and machine learning. We also recently launched a multi-million dollar grants program to fund work in this area and also to catalyze the creation of new data sets.
